Community fund raising
A proportion of the Bollington Beer Festival surplus is set aside each year for small grants of up to £1000 for specific community projects. These could be programmes such as small scale refurbishments, purchase and installation of low cost capital equipment or support to provision of a service to the community. Grants are not available for projects which have associations with political parties or religious groups. They will not be available as a contribution towards more costly programmes such as reroofing a building. Applications are particularly welcomed from groups who are in the early stages of establishing themselves and who have a clear purpose which supports the community. Preference is given to projects which have clear, independent outcomes and improve the lives of the people of Bollington.
Funding applications must be received by 15 June 2016. Decisions will be made as soon after the closing date as possible. Forms should be returned to email@example.com marked 2016 Bollington Beer Festival Community Fund Scheme.
Applications should be made on the form provided, and should include a financial statement indicating why the funds are being sought. Applications will be considered by members of the Bollington Beer Festival Organising Committee who may ask for further information. The Organising Committee may offer an amount less than that applied for. Details of successful applicants may be published in the Bollington Live and other media outlets where appropriate. No correspondence will be entered into except under exceptional circumstances.
Grants will be paid by cheque by December 2016 at the latest. Recipients must acknowledge the support of the Bollington Beer Festival in any publications relating to the funded project.
